October 2009
We discovered a great venue in Richmond for weddings and events. Our staff planned our first UBC Boathouse wedding this month and got the opportunity to turn a beautiful venue into a elegant and classy atmosphere for the bride and groom. Stunning views of the North Shore Mountains from a one of kind floating boathouse which boasts unparalleled outside viewing decks will be sure to make your gathering unique and memorable. Catering can be arranged privately, affording flexibility and competitive pricing to fit your requirements. For more information on this venue, visit www.ubcboathouse.com.
Summer 2009
The Summer of 2009 has been a memorable one. It is the season of weddings and our challenge this year was to decide what color not to use. Color trends use to come and go, but in 2009 and what seems to be a continuous trend for 2010, any color is the way to go. It is really exciting to see how creative we can get with accent colors for weddings. We have added purples, pinks, ivory, and shades of blue to our inventory. As promised, we have also added white and ivory Chair Wraps to our rentals list.
May 2009
Planning an outdoor ceremony in the Lower Mainland in May is always a risk, but we managed to pull it off. Judgement calls on all components of the ceremony were being made right up to the moment the bride walked up the ailse. Last minute tents were put in place, white umbrellas were given to the guests and rose petals were scattered on the along the walkway. As the wedding party arrived, the rain slowed down to give the bride her way to walk up the aisle. It was truly a beautiful ceremony surrounded by a garden of love and family.
April 2009

March 2009
A Wedding Affair on March 29, 2009 was a success. Our vendors were a pleasure to work with. It was a professional show that gave the 100 brides and their guests information and ideas to take with them. We plan on doing a wedding show twice a year and will post information for our fall show soon.
Spring is here and so is the busy start to a wedding season that is going to display some new trends that have arrived here in Vancouver. New rentals on our inventory list include chair wraps, taffetta sashes, various accessories for centrepieces, more colors for overlays and pintuck overlays. So far, shades of purple is the hottest color of the season.

December 2008
Imagine That Events has had the great pleasure of working with our clients on their holiday parties. The success of their 2008 was the core of these celebrations. Once again, we have observed how important it is to recognize your staff and their support system. The gift of recognition is the best reward. Many of our clients committed to giving back to their staff by awarding an array of prizes, planning themed parties with activities that got everyone involved.
Other clients gave back by having a Children's Christmas party. We invited Santa to come along to give out the presents to all the children. The kids got to make crafts, play games and decorate cookies. The staff had fun sharing this time together with their co-workers and family.
Imagine That Events would like to wish everyone a Happy Holiday and a Happy New Year. We look forward to a great 2009.
November 2008
Of all the years of event planning, we have found that the 2008 Holiday season is the year of giving. Our clients have demonstrated that they beleive in their employees. The parties we are planning for November and December have a theme, prizes, games and entertainment. Our goal is to work with our clients to make sure that everyone attending has a great time and stays to enjoy the entire night.
October 2008
With the fall season in full swing, we planned our last wedding for 2008. The reception took place at the Ukranian Hall in Richmond. The service we received at the hall was excellent. The venue seats 160 guests confortably and serves some of the best Ukrainian food in Richmond. If anyone is interested in purchasing some Perogies or booking an event at this venue, you can contact Gloria Kemp at 604.274.4119.
September 2008
The busy season of weddings is winding down and corporate events are taking over. Our clients have been celebrating great fiscal years, throwing customer appreciation parties and awards galas. It is always fulfilling to see companies celebrate and recognize their clients, customers and staff. Corporate events are a great way to bring a company together to celebrate and create a positive work environment.
On September 28th, we celebrated and helped plan the closing day of the first annual Steveston Farmers Market. After 22 sucessful markets, we closed off with a stage full of entertainment. Performers included the Coast Fiddlers, Tillers Folly, Nora Pickett Irish Dance Academy and Eire Born, Steveston Tera Taiko Drummers, Tatsumi Japanese Dance Society and the Children of the Rainbow. The festivities were tied in with the closing season of the Gulf of Georgia Cannery, and the celebration of the BC 150. The community came together week after week to help make the Steveston Farmers and Artisans Market a success.
August 2008
August was the month for outdoor weddings. The sun was shining as we set up outdoor ceremonies at the Celebration Pavilion and Canada Place and a beautiful Richmond backyard wedding reception. We could not have asked for more beautiful sunshine. The magic of Summer created an amazing setting and back drop for these beautiful weddings.
July 2008
Planning Rob & Lauren's wedding was truly a pleasure. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining as the happy couple said their I do's. We appreciate the words of thanks they sent to us. They are a wedding story that we will always treasure. Rob and I want to thank you for all you did to put together our wedding. Your amazing ability to bring our dreams into reality was spectacular. You outdid what we thought was unimaginable! Without your help throughout the planning and your support on our wedding day we couldn’t have put such a beautiful event together on our own. You both have such wonderful personalities and are a pleasure to work with. Sharon and Laura, you are so great at what you do, you are definitely in the right business and you excel at your work. We couldn’t have asked for better people to be there with us every step of the way. We thank you two, from the bottom of our hearts.
